Matheson endorsed by National Farmers Union

Salt Lake City, UT—Jim Matheson said today he’s received the endorsement of the National Farmers Union Political Action Committee (NATFARMPAC) in the Utah’s 4th Congressional District race.
The endorsement letter from Chairman Roger Johnson states, “NATFARMPAC seeks to support candidates who committed themselves to addressing and meeting the public policy needs of family farmers, ranchers and the communities in which they live. You have demonstrated that commitment.”
“I am honored to receive this endorsement. Utah farmers and ranchers help feed this country, and the world. They preserve traditions and a way of life that helped build the strong rural communities in our state. Agriculture is also an important part of Utah’s economy,” said Matheson.
The National Farmers Union (NFU) is the respected, influential and independent national voice and coalition leader that bridges family producers and consumers on behalf of a vibrant and growing grassroots membership. NFU advocates for the economic and social well-being, and quality of life for family farmers, ranchers, fishermen and consumers and their communities through education, cooperation and legislation.
