It’s easy to make the case that the most interesting political race in Utah this year—and one of the most interesting in the country—is the race for Congress in Utah’s new 4th District.
Jim Matheson, who has been elected six times in the 2nd District,(frequently as the only Democratic winner in a major Utah race) is in a new game. Redistricting took most of his old district away — a district with even more Republicans than his old one. So, he jumped the fence to run as a candidate in a district he doesn’t live in.
